What do you enjoy writing on Slamfist Media?

I enjoy of course, writing books reviews. Throw me anything fantasy or science fiction and I’ll soak it up. Throw me anything from the Black Library and I’m liable to kiss you… then soak it up as well. Once I get a little more comfortable in my writing habits, I’m going to start writing video game reviews and hopefully some editorials on issues I think are important in the geek community.

Besides working on Slamfist Media related projects, what else do you do with your free time?

Right now I’m just trying to get use to a new country. I moved to England on the 24th of May 2013 and it’s been interesting and exhausting at the same time. Aside from acclimating, I enjoy reading in one of the many coffee shops here in Dorking, or just walking into town for the hell of it. I currently  am enjoying building, painting and playing with my Warhammer 40k miniatures. My current army is Dark Angels with hopes of eventually starting my own hive fleet with the Tyranids.

What would you consider your greatest influence(s) that inspire you creatively?

Two of my biggest inspirations in a literary sense are R.A. Salvatore and Dan Abnett. Salvatore for his wonderful ability to make multi-dimensional characters and Abnett for always surprising me and keeping the romance alive, even when he writes for the grim darkness of the 41st millennium.

Do you have any personal goals with Slamfist Media?

For me it’s a lot about perfecting my writing skills and honing my ability to write stories. I’d love to help spread the knowledge of all things Warhammer as well. In the end I would just like to have fun and enjoy writing passionately about things that the geek community will love.
